Standards
First, it is necessary to confirm whether the product design complies with the relevant standards of GB/T 3836. For example, flameproof products shall refer to GB/T 3836.1 and GB/T 3836.2; intrinsically safe products shall refer to GB/T 3836.1 and GB/T 3836.4, etc.
Certification Documents
A complete set of certification documents shall be provided, including schematic diagrams, assembly drawings, structural drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), product manuals, and enterprise standards, etc. For certain products, additional documents may be required, such as battery specifications, wireless transmission power reports, potting process documents, housing material reports, and Ex Certificates for electrical components.
Samples
Generally, two samples are required. For large-scale equipment that needs on-site testing, one normal prototype shall be prepared. For some products, additional items may also be needed, such as batteries, housing samples, unpotted circuit boards, and piezoelectric components.
It should be noted that not all the above-mentioned documents and samples are required in every case. The specific requirements shall be further evaluated based on the product structure and explosion-proof type. If you are not familiar with explosion-proof design standards, certification processes, or document preparation, or if you expect to complete the application for the Ex Certificate in a time-saving, labor-saving, and hassle-free manner, you can choose a professional explosion-proof certification service provider, such as STS, We will provide you with full-process agency application services.
STS has long focused on the field of explosion-proof certification. We are well-versed in the design and certification requirements of the domestic standard GB/T 3836 and the international standard EN/IEC 60079 series. With a thorough understanding of the certification process, we can provide customers with design and modification guidance for intrinsically safe circuits, flameproof enclosures, and positive pressure structures, assist in compiling certification drawings and documents, and offer full-process agency services for certificate acquisition.
