An Ex Certificate  is a safety certification document for equipment used in explosive environments, with the certification standard being the GB/T 3836 series. The process for enterprises to apply for an Ex Certificate is relatively simple: they need to provide document materials such as the product's electrical schematic diagrams, general assembly drawings, structural drawings, product manuals, and enterprise standards, as well as samples consistent with the drawings and materials for Ex testing. Upon passing the test, an Ex test report and an Ex Certificate will be issued.

Currently, the main issuing bodies of Ex Certificates of Conformity include Nanyang CNEX, Tianjin PCEC, Shanghai NEPSI, various Coal Science Research Institutes, Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Research Institute, etc. All these institutions have complete certification qualifications, and their certificates have the same validity.

Although the application process is relatively simple, it is not easy for products to meet the design requirements of the relevant standards in the GB/T 3836 series.
