We often see a red Ex mark on explosion-proof equipment. Ex is actually the abbreviation of Explosion-proof, meaning explosion-proof.
Ex certification refers to explosion-proof certification. It is the work of verifying that equipment complies with the requirements of explosion-proof standards, conducting type tests and routine tests, and issuing corresponding qualification certificates. The certificates can be applied for Ex equipment or Ex components.
Once equipment has passed explosion-proof certification and obtained an Explosion-proof Qualification Certificate, the Ex mark can be affixed to the equipment or its nameplate.
The so-called Ex certification mentioned by us is not limited to domestic explosion-proof certification. In fact, explosion-proof equipment internationally is basically marked with the Ex mark. In the EU market, explosion-proof equipment is usually marked with an Ex mark in a hexagonal frame.
